Peterbilt Motors Company is an American company engaged in the production of classic trucks and truck tractors. Headquartered in Denton, Texas. The company is a subsidiary of Paccar.


The company was founded in 1939 and operates plants in Madison, Tennessee, in Denton, Texas, and in St. Therese, Quebec (Canada). From the early 1960s to the mid-1980s, the company was based in San Francisco, and the main plant in Newark, California. In 1986, the Newark plant closed. The headquarters was relocated to Denton in 1993. In 2008, a hybrid power unit was used on the tractors of this brand. It was created and adopted by Eaton Corporation. In the future, it will appear on Kenworth cars.
